Digital Scoreboards 10th Anniversary banner

Your scoreboard is the foundation. The software shapes how you use it.

From scoring and sponsor content to live video, streaming, and fan engagement, the right software determines how your team manages game day and how much value the system delivers beyond the final score.

Digital Scoreboards offers two software options, ScoreVision and ProScoreboard, with different levels of production, control, and investment. Understanding those differences can help you choose the right setup for your facility, staff, and long-term goals.

ScoreVision

ScoreVision is a 100% cloud-based system built around an iPad-driven workflow. One iPad runs game operations. A second handles fan engagement, media, and advertising. All of it connects through ScoreVision Cloud, a web-based platform where schools organize seasons, import rosters, schedule games, and assign media and advertising before the first whistle. Managing content does not require anyone in the press box.

The full suite includes:

  • Scorekeeper App: Sport-specific scoring with built-in game logic for timekeeping and basic stat tracking. Live scores feed automatically to the Fan App.
  • Producer App: Controls displays and fires graphics, animations, hype clips, and player profiles in real time from an iPad.
  • Capture App: Records and live streams games from a mobile device. No additional equipment needed.
  • Fan App: Available on iOS and Android. Delivers live scores, highlights, game schedules, live streams, and announcements to fans who are not in the building.
  • Practice App: Supports football practice with video, play cards, and media alongside clock and scoreboard information.

Support is built into the subscription: phone coverage from 8 AM to 11 PM CST, unlimited customer support, unlimited remote training via one-on-one webinars, software updates, and 50GB of dedicated cloud-based content storage.

Pricing: $7,500 per year, per venue. Multi-venue and district-wide purchases may qualify for a discounted rate, evaluated case by case.

Best fit: Programs that want a complete game-day production and fan engagement platform. The cloud model means a coach, administrator, or volunteer can prep content from anywhere before the game, not just from the press box. The Fan App extends the experience to fans who are not in the stands through live scores, highlights, schedules, live streams, and announcements.

ProScoreboard

ProScoreboard is computer-based software built to replace traditional hardware scoreboards with a flexible, operator-friendly system. It runs scoring for baseball, basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and volleyball, each with sport-specific scoring displays and controls. Switching between sports does not require separate hardware.

The board is controlled wirelessly from a tablet, phone, or laptop through a web-based interface. A full custom template builder with unlimited design options means the board looks and functions exactly how the school needs it to. Sponsor content, animations, video overlays, and advertising zones are all built in.

Where ProScoreboard stands apart is hardware flexibility. It integrates with traditional console controllers and works alongside existing scoreboard hardware from Daktronics, OES, All-American, Electro-Mech, and Fair-Play. Schools that want to keep existing software, including Daktronics, Motion Rocket, Click Effects, ScoreView, or ScoreBird, can in most cases do so. Digital Scoreboards’ LED and processing are largely software-agnostic, which means a new display does not always require starting over on software.

Pricing: $2,500 per year, per venue. Multi-venue and district-wide purchases may qualify for a discounted rate, evaluated case by case.

Best Fit: Programs looking for flexible multi-sport scoring, custom layouts, remote control, existing hardware integration and a lower annual software cost

Why Having a Choice Matters

Most scoreboard companies sell one software solution. You take what comes with the hardware. Digital Scoreboards made a deliberate decision to offer both ProScoreboard and ScoreVision because the needs of a rural K-8 school running one sport are genuinely different from a four-high-school district running a full media program.

A program focused on reliable scoring, sponsor content, and simple operation has different needs than one building a student media program or trying to extend its reach to parents and alumni who cannot make it to games. Both are valid. Both deserve a software option built around what they are actually trying to do.

The conversation about which software fits comes before anything is proposed. That is part of how Digital Scoreboards approaches every engagement, as a consultant first, not a vendor.

What makes Digital Scoreboards different when it comes to software?

Digital Scoreboards is one of the few companies in the K-12 and small college space that offers more than one software solution. Rather than requiring schools to take a one-size approach, DS matches schools with the software that fits their program size, budget, and goals. Both options are available through DS and both work across DS displays.

Not sure which software fits your program?

The Digital Scoreboards team talks through both options based on your sports, your setup, and what you want game day to look like. No obligation until you are ready.
